Statue Success Story

The Sam Houston Statue and Visitors Centerhas seen great success since opening February, 1995. As of December2005, more than 573,000 visitors have signed the guest book duringoperating hours, averaging approximately 50,000 visitors personallygreeted per year.

Internationally known, the Sam Houston Statueattracts people from around the world. There are 91 foreign countriesrepresented in the guest book.

When people visit here, they don'tneed many words to express their impression. In the guest book, visitorsseem to agree by noting such comments as Its nice, beautiful, veryenjoyable, very honored. Also they say we received good information orso, this is Texas and some even stayed. Sometimes they just say ThankYou! With these words and expressions, we can sense the power of thisvery interesting man, Sam Houston, and observe the talent of DavidAdickes.
